My Dad, like many of the young men who proudly served our country during WWII, was just a "good ole country boy" who had never ventured far from home.
One day while standing at attention with his unit, his eyes wandered when he caught sight of a pretty girl nearby. "Eyes Right Jones!!" the commanding officer bellowed. At a military reunion 40 years later, my Dad's army buddies still referred to him as "Eyes Right Jones".
It is in his loving memory, that I dedicate this daylily.
